Dave, How did you get started trading?
I started in the late 1990’s after spending several years investingin mutual funds and accumulating wealth. Once I felt that I had
graduated with enough market knowledge I began to purchase individual stocks, and over time became much more adept at technical analysis and charting. At one point I grew my IRA account from $7,000 to $1,000,000 in the course of 7 years from 1993-1999. I was of course helped by the 1998-99 stock market bubble as I momentum traded from one position to another as small cap tech stocks flew to the upside. Over time, I learned about Elliott Wave Theory after the markets crashed hard in the early 2000’s and that totally transformed how I think, invest, and project.

You call yourself the “Oil and Gold Guy”, are the oil and gold sectors
are your specialties?
I am the Gold and Oil Guy , I follow gold and oil closely and give my analysis, thoughts and trades ideas to my followers each morning before the market opens. While I follow them closely the SP500 is my baby and what I prefer to trade. I found that emotions run wild in the stock market and once you understand what state of mind the majority of traders are in, then you are able to accurately track and forecast future moves 1-3 days in advance.

How did you get started in trading?
A friend of mine convinced me to go to a Forex trading seminar that was sponsored by a Trading software company . It was one of those “red light green light” systems that make trading look rather simple. The presenter was good at his job because I ended up shelling out a few thousand that day to start my trading career. My goal was to learn to be a great trader, so I could earn enough money to live on..and get out of the whole 9 to 5 work schedule like most people have. Of course I soon found out it was way more difficult than I could have imagined. There may be some people out there that pick it up pretty fast, but in my case it took close to four years before I began to get the results I wanted.
